My Story
I'm Adam Gerber, VP of Paid Media and Performance Marketing at Horizon Media. My work focuses on platform mechanics, performance strategy, and helping brands understand what actually drives results across TikTok, Meta, Reddit, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, Trade Desk, and CTV.
Right now I lead advertising and media programs for Sphere Las Vegas, Madison Square Garden (Knicks, Rangers, Rockettes), and Capital One's social ads practice. My background includes guiding major media programs for Amazon, NBCUniversal, FOX, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Zynga, Petco, the World Surf League, and CBS/Showtime.
A lot of my thinking lately is about where the major platforms are headed. I've made the case that Reddit will dominate as the anti-AI economy's crown jewel, that CTV is one of the most undervalued opportunities in advertising, and that Pinterest is uniquely exposed to AI-generated content. I write most of it down on my blog.
Although my work is centered in New York, I live in the suburbs of Kansas City with my wife and two kids. We moved during Covid and stayed. We love it here. Outside of work you'll usually find me at a live show; 2025 was a big year for theater for me.
